Las Tintoreras Islet - Kayaking or SUP
Duration: 3 hours Private groups upon request
What you’ll see at Las Tintoreras Tour The Las Tintoreras Tour offers a unique opportunity to encounter some of the Galapagos’ most iconic wildlife in a stunning volcanic setting. Tintoreras Islet is named after the Tintoreras sharks (white-tip reef sharks) that rest in the calm lava channels formed by ancient volcanic activity—one of the best places in the islands to see these sharks up close. The tour begins at Puerto Villamil on Isabela Island, where you’ll kayak across tranquil waters toward the islet. Upon arrival, you’ll explore natural lava canals, the sharks’ preferred resting area, often allowing visitors to observe multiple sharks gathered together. On land, the volcanic formations are home to marine iguanas, seabirds, and endemic bird species, making this tour a perfect blend of wildlife viewing and scenic exploration. This experience is ideal for nature lovers looking for a relaxed yet immersive Galapagos wildlife adventure, combining kayaking, breathtaking landscapes, and unforgettable animal encounters. Snorkelling at Concha Perla After kayaking around the islet, we’ll go to a great spot for snorkeling. For about an hour you’ll swim in clear waters along with sea lions, turtles, rays, and a huge variety of colorful fish.
